Mr. Nemec has evaluated structural systems, material failures, building envelopes, and roofing for numerous structures and existing buildings. He has experience in structures, systems, components, and materials that have sustained damage from perils including, but not limited to, hailstorms, windstorms, collapse, water intrusion, design errors, plumbing leaks, fire, impact, vibration, flooding, deterioration/corrosion, foundation movement, material failure, construction defect, tornados, and hurricanes.

Prior to joining Nelson, he gained experience in the steel construction industry, assisting in the design of braced frames, structural stud walls, base plates, and pre-fabricated column and beam connections for multiple mid-rise apartment buildings. Mr. Nemec also aided in the management of construction projects and documents, developed complex and complete shop drawings, and performed on-site construction administration services.

Mr. Nemec is also an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers’ (ASCE) Committee on Forensic Investigations (CFI) and CFI’s Residential Structures Subcommittee.
