Mr. Oestrike has provided engineering expertise to property owners, insurance carriers, attorneys, contractors, and industry professionals. He has designed and evaluated numerous commercial, residential, industrial, educational, recreational, municipal, and healthcare facilities. Mr. Oestrike’s design experience spans a broad range of projects, including structural design of buildings and foundations, equipment support structures involving dynamic loading, industrial monorail and crane systems, blast resistant buildings, earth retaining structures, and pavements and roadways. His forensic experience includes evaluation of many structures for damage caused by construction and design defects, extreme weather events, fire and explosion, foundation and structural deflection, cladding and roofing deficiencies, material failures, collapses, demolition activities, accidents, and other perils. Mr. Oestrike has also designed and specified remedial measures for damaged facilities. He has provided expert testimony in deposition, arbitration, and trial; and has delivered presentations to many audiences on a range of topics in forensic engineering.
