Charles Iselin, M.S., P.E.
Project Director

Mr. Iselin has evaluated numerous commercial, residential and industrial structures of steel, concrete, masonry and wood construction throughout his career. He has evaluated structures for damages associated with wind, fires, hail, tornadoes, snow and ice, flooding, and hurricanes. Mr. Iselin has also evaluated and analyzed structures affected by moisture intrusion, tree and vehicular impacts, and collapse. Although the nature and cause of distress has varied greatly, his work has had a specific focus on building envelope investigations.
Prior to joining Nelson, Mr. Iselin also gained experience providing structural engineering services for the design of new structures, the repair, rehabilitation and retrofit of existing buildings, and projects under construction. Mr. Iselin obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering at Columbia University. His graduate program concentrated in Forensic Structural Engineering, while as an undergraduate student he assisted with research on new construction material applications.
