Bret Schleissing, P.E.
Bret has several years’ experience in the design and analysis of industrial, commercial, and waterfront structures. Bret’s early career focused on open-frame steel structures and shallow-bearing foundations for industrial facilities such as power plants, mine sites, and chemical process plants. His experience also includes waterfront marine structures and offshore marine terminals consisting of pile supported wharves and piers, bulkhead walls, intake vaults, timber and concrete docks, and containment areas. Additionally, he has experience designing and analyzing structures to resist code-prescribed seismic and high wind loads.
Bret has performed multiple assessments of structural components, systems, and structures at power plants, marinas, and waterfront naval facilities. More recently, he has provided structural, roofing, and building envelope evaluations for commercial and residential structures. Bret is also experienced in construction administration, having developed and responded to requests for information (RFIs) and performed site walk-downs to verify as-built conditions.
